Saint Philip Neri

Saint Philip Neri, called the Apostle of Rome, was a 16th century Florentine priest who ministered to the poor and sick of Rome for decades. He founded the Congregation of the Oratory and revived the practice of the Seven Churches pilgrimage. His body rests at the Chiesa Nuova. He was canonized in 1622.
